Objective

This course is designed to train drivers to a competent standard in  both Theory and Practical aspects, which will enable them to pass the relevant Vic Roads Testing Criteria for Theory, Skills and Practical Driving in the category of Multi Combination.

Requirements

Drivers participating in this course must be the holder of a Current HC licence or a combination of HR and HC licence for a minimum period of 12 months.

Heavy Rigid Licence holders must pass a Heavy Combination Course before participating in a Multi Combination course.

The HC course will be run over five days at 8 hours per day.

There is a recommended 100 hours minimum driving time as per log book for HC licence holders.

  • THEORY Road Law General B Double Information.
  • Road Train Information Loaded MC Vehicles.
  • Defensive Driving Driving Tips.
  • Vic Roads Theory Test.

Practical

  • Pre-Operational Checks 90 Degree Turns
  • Forward offset manoeuvres Uncoupling - Coupling
  • Reversing Tracking/Cornering/Braking
  • Observation Braking Distance
  • Following Distance Turns
  • Highway Driving Intersections/Roundabouts
  • Lane Management System of Vehicle Control
  • Maintaining Safe Speed/Gap Gear Selection
  • Correct use of accessories Fuel Efficiency/Economy
  • ASSESSMENT: Vic Roads Road Test

Costs : 1 day course $1350* per person.

Duration : 2 day course $950* per person.
